Vision Team Scouting Trip

Each year we have one of the best Fall Retreats anywhere. We always are looking for ways to make it better. We call the event TRFKAA (The retreat formaerly known as Awanita) because we moved it away from Awanita as we seek to make it better. Yesterday, we went on the hunt for an even better location. Camp Bethel in Wise, Virginia was our destination and we took 8 of our student leadership team and checked it out. We liked it, but will continue to check out other places to ensure that TRFKAA Fall 09 will be the best Fall Retreat yet.

How We Do It

At Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, we are fully aware that there is nothing unique about our game plan or strategy. We simply want to be a church where Jesus is the center. That desire drives us to reach out to our community with excellence and faithfulness. This has led us to develop a student ministry where Jesus is the center. My name is Stephen Timmons and I am one of the student pastors at AMRBC. I run the Middle School Ministry and Preteen Ministry. Both are part of the Student to Student Ministry of our church. The concept is simple. The gospel will most effectively be communicated to students through the words and lives of students in their school, neighborhood, and city.
